- 12-month secondment opportunity open to Walsall Council employees OR temporary contract for external applicants
- £61,251 - £67,778 per annum
Walsall Council is transforming how it works and delivers services to the customer. This is through developing technologies - customer expectations and external budget pressures mean we need to modernise and rethink how we deliver our services.
We are currently recruiting a Customer Programme Lead to join the Customer Engagement Team, tasked with supporting the Customer Access Management and Money Home Job function, to lead on new initiatives, projects and programmes of transformation, to ensure the Council continues to have services and systems fit for the future.
The Role:
The Customer Programme Lead will work with staff at all levels to ensure that systems of work:
The successful candidate will lead specific programmes of work involving large scale legislative changes or large scale service transformations that involve multiple projects running concurrently with specific focus on:
- Improve services to customers
- Empower people to be the best they can
- Reduce costs
- Give help to residents both when and where they need it
- Reduce the cost of delivering services; or
- Release staff capacity to be re-deployed into other work
