Print and Design Finishing Apprentice – Ref: SS03221
Contract: Fixed term 24 months
Salary: National Minimum Wage
Do you have an interest in developing a career in print and design? Are you willing to work towards a qualification while gaining hands on experience?
If so then we have a rare but great opportunity to join the Print and Design team as we are currently recruiting for 2 apprenticeship posts that will provide an opportunity for the successful candidates to gain skills, experience and knowledge in a busy print and design service whilst working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
National Minimum Wage for Age:
25 and over: £8.91 per hour
21 to 22: £8.36 per hour
18 to 20: £6.56 per hour
Under 18: £4.62 per hour
As an apprentice you will:
- work alongside experienced staff
- gain job-specific skills
- earn a wage and get holiday pay
- study towards a related qualification
The Print and Design Finishing Apprentice will support delivery of a high quality lithographic and digital printing service, large format printing and finishing and use of a varied selection of industry finishing machines whilst studying towards a Print Operative Apprenticeship level 2 standard.
In this two year fixed-term role we can offer you a wide variety of on the job learning opportunities to develop your skills. You can also access a wide range of Walsall Council’s employee Learning & Development training too.
