Senior Planning Enforcement Officer

We are looking for two full-time Senior Planning Enforcement Officers to join our Development Management team. 

The District has a wealth of important natural and built assets, with Lichfield being one of the finest cathedral cities in the country.  The Council has pride in protecting and enhancing the high quality environment of the district, whilst manging the challenges of development and growth. Planning enforcement plays an important part therefore of the development management team and to the Council as a whole, in delivering its local planning authority function.

To join our friendly team, you will have significant experience in planning enforcement within a local planning authority. You should have a good knowledge of the planning system and excellent organisational and time management skills.  You will be a good team player with the ability to deal diplomatically with sensitive situations relating to enforcement matters on complex planning issues and have good written and verbal communication skills. A clear understanding of complex planning policy and case law will be required in this role.
