The Role
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our thriving school.
The Governors wish to appoint a highly motivated and dedicated HLTA who is committed, skilled and enthusiastic about supporting children's social, emotional and mental health needs.
We are seeking a qualified HLTA, or a candidate who is ambitious and keen to progress their career and undertake HLTA training. The role will predominately be to work with children with SEMH needs across the school. This work may involve supporting pupils in class, in small groups and / or individually.
Key Requirements
The successful candidates must demonstrate that they are:
Able to display a secure knowledge of, and skill in, effective HLTA practice;
Have a sound knowledge and understanding of children's varying SEMH needs and know how to cater for and support them;
Able to enthuse and inspire children to reach high levels of achievement;
Set high expectations for pupil behaviour and build positive, respectful relationships with children;
Able to make a significant contribution to this thriving school;
Be able to operate with unconditional positive regard for children and colleagues at all times.
Be ambitious and willing to advance their own professional development, by undertaking necessary training for the role.
