At St Gregory’s we love, learn and grow with Jesus
You will see from our results that children leave us performing above the national expectations, but perhaps more importantly they leave us as happy, well-balanced children who are enthusiastic learners, full of self-confidence and who have developed a great love of learning.
As a Key Stage 1 classroom teacher your main purpose will be:
To be an enthusiastic and highly motivated Class Teacher, who will support the Catholic ethos of our school promoting good practice in teaching and learning.
Specifically: In addition to the duties of a teacher set out in both the Teachers’ Standards and the School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document, your role will involve the following particular duties: -
1. To be responsible for ensuring that all relevant policies are produced and reviewed according to the school’s monitoring schedule.
2. To be responsible for monitoring and evaluating learning in their classroom on a regular basis in line with the school’s monitoring policy (this will include work trawls, planning scrutiny and review, pupil interviews etc).
3. To analyse data relating to the subject and use this information when formulating action plans.
4. To control, evaluate and requisition materials and equipment for use in the classroom within the confines of the school budget.
5. To promote and facilitate parental involvement in the teaching of the subject through a shared school/home approach.
St Gregory’s and St Mary’s Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure
