The Pinvin Federation of Schools (Pinvin CE First School and St. Nicholas CE Middle School) is part of the Diocese of Worcester Multi Academy Trust. We provide a safe, inclusive, exciting learning environment to enable everyone in our school community achieve of their best.

The Local Academy Board of Pinvin CE First School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team for the Spring and Summer terms 2022. The role will involve providing in- class support: Monday – Friday 8.45 – 15.15 pm. The successful candidate will provide behaviour support strategies, build positive relationships with children, adapt work to meet individual needs and deliver targeted small group interventions designed to develop English and numeracy skills. Previous experience of working with children is essential.

Experience of working with age groups across the primary age range is desirable. Applicants should state any areas of expertise they may be able to bring to the school.

The duties and responsibilities allocated to the post will be based on the skills, experience, knowledge and qualifications of the individual appointed, which will determine the salary grade.

The successful candidate will;

  • Be a good classroom practitioner
  • Be sensitive to the needs of individual learners
  • Be enthusiastic and determined to make learning fun
  • Have experience of leading interventions – for example, Phonics, First Class Number
  • Be passionate about good teaching and learning
  • Have good English and Maths skills
  • Be responsible and resourceful
  • Have relevant qualifications
  • Be committed to raising the level of achievement for all pupils, regardless of economic background or other need
  • Have a positive, cheerful attitude
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Be able to reflect the values of our Church school
