Actual salary: £21,699.68 - £22,474.83

Contract: Part time (34 hours) Permanent 
Term Time plus 3 weeks + INSET days
Start Date: 3 January 2022 (or as soon as possible thereafter)

St Peter’s Bratton Church of England Academy (part of St Chad’s Academies Trust) is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic, adaptable and successful Office Manager for a January 2022 start.

Purpose of the job:

  • Be the academy’s leading support staff professional and work with the senior team to assist the Principal in ensuring the academy meets its educational aims in an effective and efficient manner.
  • To promote the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the academy and ensure the most effective use of resources in support of the academy’s learning objectives

If you are an effective, highly efficient and experienced Office Manager who would be interested in joining our Church of England academy, who can think both strategically and creatively, has a proven track record working in school/ academy or equivalent administration we would encourage you to apply.

Applications from candidates with other suitable qualifications from other industries would also be encouraged.

Duties typically include:

  • Line managing office personnel; catering team, caretaker, cleaning team and playing a key role in leading, training, motivating and carrying out performance management;
  • Support with budget management and providing advice and guidance on all related matters to the Principal, Local Academy Committee and St Chad’s Academies Trust, as per the job description and person specification;
  • Provide organisational and complex advisory support to the Principal and Local Academy Committee on all aspects of office management;
  • Implementing Health & Safety Legislation in the academy;
  • General personnel and welfare matters;
  • Producing detailed reports, analysing and responding to complex correspondence;
  • Administrative clerical support as required;
  • First Aid trained (both children & adults)
