Pye Green Academy is a two form entry primary school on the outskirts of Cannock Chase, Staffordshire who were judged 'good' at out last OFSTED inspection (2017).

We are actively looking for an experienced, passionate teacher, to deliver high quality teaching and learning in upper key stage 2. You will work closely with and will be supported by an experienced teacher within the year group.

The additional TLR3 increment is attached to a key school improvement focus for writing across the whole school. Experience or understanding of the 'Talk for Writing Programme' would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced English Leader and be responsible for establishing excellent practice and the development of others, including teachers and teaching assistants across the school.

They will be accountable to work alongside the senior leadership team to demonstrate impact and accelerated progress of all groups of pupils in writing.
You must:

Be an experienced, qualified teacher with QTS and have recent whole class teaching experience.

Have drive and determination to raise standards.

Have some experience in delivering and developing high quality writing strategies across the whole school.

Have some experience of leading and managing a specific area of school improvement and be jointly accountable for evidencing impact.

Have experience of supporting and developing colleagues.
You should have:

Secure knowledge of current pedagogy, educational research and practice.

Knowledge and understanding of effective strategies for teaching writing.

The ability to deliver consistently good or outstanding lessons.

Proven success in raising progress and attainment.

A secure understanding of assessment procedures and processes.

Experience of teaching within Year 5 or 6.
