The Role

The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership is a highly successful Multi Academy Trust (MAT) encompassing 5 secondary schools, 11 primary schools, a Teaching School Hub, and School Centred Initial Teacher Training provider.  Our schools are based in North Birmingham, Tamworth, Lichfield, and North Warwickshire.  A further secondary school and 2 primary schools will join the ATLP in the near future.

Band F, Points 6 -11 £19,698 - £21,748 (actual salary £15,081.40 - £16,650.94)
32.50 hours per week, Permanent
Monday: 8:30 – 4:30pm. Tuesday: 8:30 – 3:00pm. Wednesday 8:30 – 4:00pm.
Thursday and Friday: 8:30 – 3:00pm term time including 5 Inset days

•Do you have good knowledge of the secondary school curriculum and of supporting students with SEND and SEMH difficulties?
Then the post of Teaching Assistant Level 3 could be for you and you will be joining The Coleshill School at an exciting time, following our most recent Ofsted Report (March 2020): when we maintained our status "Good" in all areas.
Working in the Inclusion Team, the Teaching Assistant is a role that benefits both the students and the school. It has been designed to enable vulnerable students to reach their full potential, those who require a holistic programme of support and / or alternative provision.
Your role will include helping vulnerable students to overcome their barriers to learning, supporting access to the curriculum and acting as a role model, whilst working with families and support agencies.
You will work supporting student's behaviour and learning in and outside of the class.

Key Requirements

•Experience of working with children or young adults
•Understanding of the principles with regard to Safeguarding of Children
•Ability to work as part of a team
•Ability to help raise attainment of young people
•Experience of working with SEND
•Ability to deal with challenging situations
•Ability to work using own initiative
•Flexible attitude/approach
•Willingness to undertake any training relevant to the post
•GCSE (Grade C) in English and Maths
•Relevant TA qualification if Level 3
