Temporary SEND Teaching Assistant (Maternity Cover)
Grade 3 £18,933 – £20,092 per annum (£14,367-£15,246 pro rata to hours and weeks worked)
32.5 hours per week, working Monday-Friday 8.30am -3.30pm. Term Time only plus Teacher Training Days.
Temporary, to start as soon as possible with an end date of 22 July 2022 initially, to be reviewed if required for the autumn term 2022.
We are looking to appoint a 1:1 teaching assistant to offer support to a hearing-impaired pupil, who communicates using spoken language, within our hardworking Year 2 team. The post is temporary to cover a maternity leave.
Our support staff team is integral to the school’s vision to ensure that all children achieve their full potential in all aspects of school life. You would be part of our drive to achieve an outstanding quality of education for every child.
Our successful candidate will be a motivated professional who will inspire and enthuse our children and support them in making good progress in their learning and social/emotional development.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a desire to further develop their skills
- Has excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Can support in providing high quality childcare and education
- To promote high expectations and support pupil engagement with learning
- Support the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and education process.
- Will work in respectful partnership with parents/carers when supporting children in their learning and development
- Has a sound knowledge of behaviour management and SEND
- Is approachable and resilient
- Has experience of working with children with SEND needs (desirable)
