Worcestershire Family Safeguarding pilot is an innovative and multi-disciplinary team led by an experienced Practice Manager supporting a specific cohort of families where Child Protection planning is in place due to the trio of vulnerabilities impacting on the adults parenting.

Having launched in November 2020 we are now looking for two new team members this is an exciting opportunity to join a service that works collaboratively with young people, parents and extended family members, using the Signs of Safety practice model, to find out what works well within the family and use existing strengths to help families to find their own solutions.

Part of our team is the role of Emotional Health & Well-Being workers.   All staff are provided with peer and management support alongside individual and group reflective supervisions to support you in the role.

The role is similar to that of a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner in the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies service, however, due to the nature of the team we offer more flexibility in how interventions are delivered.

Your main role is to offer direct support to adults using evidence-based skills such as CBT, Counselling, motivational interviewing, or solution focused with the aim of promoting their emotional health and wellbeing. You will be involved in developing packages of emotional support for families working with multi-disciplinary colleagues in the team to provide whole family approaches. 

You will complete triage assessments upon requests for emotional health and wellbeing support, and with supervision develop a plan of intervention.

This role will be suited to someone who has experience using psychological techniques to support individuals / groups but is looking for opportunities to develop their understanding and skills.
