An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a suitably competent and experienced Programme Manager to work within our Capital Works Team.

The successful post holder will be instrumental in leading a team to deliver complex property refurbishment and regeneration projects across the city. Candidates should possess significant project management experience and training and be able to demonstrate a successful track record of delivering complex programmes on time and within budget, ideally within the construction or maintenance sector.

The post holder will also be required to take a lead role in organising and confidently presenting at customer and community consultation events.

Job Purpose and Role:

To manage a section of Property Supervisors and other designated support staff within the Capital Works Division of Wolverhampton Homes Property Services Directorate.
Work in conjunction with other Programme & Contract Managers to ensure that any dependencies are understood and managed
Manage and monitor the programme budget alongside and on behalf of the Head of Service monitoring expenditure and costs against outcomes delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses.
Ensure that the programme is aligned to the strategic outcomes of the project
Manage issues and risk when they arise and design and implement solutions to mitigate.
Responsible for managing the delivery of multi-disciplined construction projects within the Capital Works and Contracts & Compliance sections including other specific programmes of work in accordance with the agreed annual Asset Management Plan & Capital Programme.
To be responsible for providing information from major projects and schemes of work undertaken by the Property Services Directorate, to update stock condition data across the Housing Stock.
To contribute to Tenant and Leaseholder consultation on all matters relating to the prescribed works, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction whilst managing the corporate complaints and compliments procedure.
To deputise for the Head of Service required on all divisional related matters.
