Environment Locality Officer - Waste & Neighbourhood Services

NJC SO1 - £27,741 - £29,577 per annum

37 hours per week

The Environment Locality Officer should have a strong background in delivering service improvements and be willing to challenge service delivery from a customer perspective while identifying opportunities to streamline the way we work and embracing channel shift. 

The officer will play a key role in collaborative working with other internal & external stakeholders specifically Engineering Services, Community Safety, Waste, Public Protection, Highway & Transport Services, Parishes and Contractors in order to improve quality & delivery of neighbourhood services in the locality in relation to landscape, environmental and cleansing services. 

The officer will take ownership for resolving enquiries and complaints from the public, elected members, parishes, and other stakeholders either directly or by holding the relevant contractor to account and will be using customer insight into shaping the way services are delivered in the future.  They will take ownership for mapping out new and efficient customer processes to enhance the reputation of the service.

The officer will have a key role of ensuring Pride in Our Community ensuring affordable neighbourhood service improvements are identified, aligned and delivered in order to meet local needs though robust contract management, partnership working, community engagement, involvement of volunteers and identifying new income streams to support delivery.
