Warwickshire County Council has a well-established and strong Civil Engineering Design team which is responsible for developing, designing and project managing the delivery of capital works ranging from minor road, bridge, traffic signal and drainage repairs to large scale major road infrastructure improvement schemes.

We are looking for an experienced and confident individual to join our Business and Capital Programme team providing a wide range of support and expertise to the group. It will take a key role in the team with particular emphasis on project tasks to support the operational delivery of capital projects.

You will be joining a team which provides financial and commercial support to the Engineers responsible for the technical aspects of the design and procurement functions of our projects. The work will be varied and require you to be well organised, motivated and demonstrate a good attention to detail.

This role is intended to support (1) the business systems necessary to enable us to meet our annual financial targets and control the cost of our projects and (2) the management systems which the Council require us to follow and to enable us to control the quality of our services. 

The existing team is a mixture of full-time and part-time staff but this role would be expected to work a minimum of 22.2 hours a week if engaged on a part-time basis.
