The Role

Deputy Headteacher: L9 (£51,402) - L13 (£56,721)
The children, Headteacher and Governors at Exhall Junior School are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher to continue the journey of accelerated improvement within our school for our vibrant and diverse community. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, inspirational leader with high aspirations to further develop their leadership skills. The successful candidate will have: a strategic vision which aligns to our school ethos as an Attachment Aware and Trauma trained school; strong leadership skills and a proven record of excellent classroom practice. The role comes with a teaching commitment, but also with dedicated leadership time and assurance to offer future leadership training to prepare the candidate for headship including a NPQH.

Key Requirements

•To support and assist the Headteacher in all aspects of school life.
•Have a comprehensive understanding of whole school improvement and a commitment to be an instrumental part of the Exhall Junior School team to secure our long term goals. 
•Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example and build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, staff and governors in order to raise aspirations, expectations and standards, whilst remaining approachable and supportive.
•Outstanding classroom practitioner with experience of successful, creative approaches to teaching and learning.
•Have an excellent working knowledge of, and the ability to lead, the curriculum inspiring other subject leaders.
•Be the subject lead for a Core curriculum area. Have a passion for, and be able to, implement improvements and provide guidance and support to other teachers.
•Enthusiastic to become our Educational Visit Co-ordinator who champions all aspects and benefits of visits and outdoor learning.
