An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Governance Support Officer within the fund’s Governance team
The West Midlands Pension Fund is one of the UK’s largest pension Funds providing, from its base in Wolverhampton, local authority pension benefits for employees across the West Midlands. The Fund manages and administers the pension interests of over 300,000 scheme members, over 600 employers and currently has over £15.4 billion in assets under management.
We are seeking a highly organised and flexible Governance Support Officer to support the Governance Officer and Regulatory Governance Manager.
The position includes responsibility for:-
- To support the Fund’s Governance Team through the provision of administrative support to the Fund’s governing bodies including Pension Committee, Local Pensions Board and Internal Officer committees.
- To support the Fund’s delivery of the Trustee and Local Pension Board knowledge and skills framework through the organisation of events and meetings including the collation and preparation of meeting papers.
- To support the internal governance framework through administrative support for information governance and compliance monitoring.
- To provide administrative support to the Fund in the implementation of Trustee and Pension Board training on a regular basis and to facilitate both in-house and external delivery of training including the organisation of off-site events and conferences.
The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines and be flexible with work tasks to assist a busy team.
