An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and self-motivated individual to join Hereford and Worcester Fire Authority’s Finance Team. The role of the Systems and Technical Accountant will be to develop financial systems throughout the Authority and to assist in the preparation of budgetary and financial accounting information. As a small team providing the full range of financial services the range of opportunities is wide.
You will be a qualified accountant and have evidence of continuing professional development, with proven experience in the development of financial systems supporting the production of IFRS compliant accounting information. You will have an understanding of Local Government accounts and financial management and budgetary control.
