This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, committed and enthusiastic teacher to take on a leadership role within the Science department at King Edward VI School. The successful candidate will support the Head of Science with the leadership and management of Key Stage 3 provision, working alongside subject leads to ensure that we are ambitious for the progress of all students across the Science specialisms.
We are looking for an exceptional practitioner who is ready to develop their skills in subject leadership. The successful candidate will have a pro-active approach and excellent communication skills, potential is as important as experience in this role. All staff teach across the age and ability range, with specialist subject teaching at Key Stage 4 and A-level. We are particularly keen to recruit a teacher with either a Biology or a Physics specialism.
The department has recently benefited from a new building and extensive refurbishment of existing laboratories. Science is incredibly popular in school and you will be joining an expanding team to keep pace with growing student numbers. The successful candidate will be expected to take an active role in the wider life of the school and will be well supported in their own professional development.
