Do you have experience working in sustainable travel, health promotion, education, or a road safety role? Are you creative and self-motivated?

We are looking for a passionate, dynamic individual who will create, implement, and deliver a wide range of behavioural change initiatives and events linked to national and local road safety, active travel, and physical activity campaigns. Your overall aim is to inspire school communities to promote and encourage active travel to school, reduce car use dependency whilst improving road safety and improve local air quality and the physical and mental health of children and young people.

The key purpose of the role is to engage with schools and community settings to support them in developing an Active Travel Policy which leads to an increase in physical activity through active travel, reduce school gate congestion, improve local air quality, and promote road safety.

We are seeking an excellent communicator with personable skills. You will need the confidence and ability to talk to groups of varying sizes and age groups. You will need to be a creative individual with a positive, inspiring demeanour whilst being adaptable and innovative in order to inspire the next generation to become active travel and physical activity advocates.

You will work as part of a multi-agency team working towards one goal, managing projects in a target driven environment. The right candidate will have the skills or experience in using social media platforms in a work capacity and be able to use relevant ICT systems, such as Microsoft Office.
