Service Assistant - Leadership and Organisational Development
Grade 6 £20,903 - £23,541
6-month fixed-term (with potential for extension)
At WME we advocate, build and champion people centred organisations for a resilient and diverse public sector workforce.
We are a not-for-profit public sector organisation owned by the local authorities of the West Midlands. We work at the heart of local government supporting Councils in their role as employers, and we also deliver a wide and varied range of products and services including recruitment (including WMJobs.co.uk), HR services, leadership and development, OD and coaching and mentoring.
We have a fantastic team of 20 staff and whilst we may be small in size - we are big on ambition! Our culture is open, friendly, supportive, and innovative. Our reputation is built on a commitment and passion for the highest quality of customer focused services, and we are proud to be part of the local government family with a workforce of over 116,000 people.
You will be joining WME at an exciting time as we embed ‘new ways of working’ following the Pandemic. We are working more flexibly; mixing homeworking with time spent in our modern collaboration hub, where we can come together as a team, or drop in to work within an office environment. We are excited by the new opportunities ahead and what this means for the services we provide to our councils who are also transforming how they work.
This Customer Service Assistant role is a key part of our busy Leadership & Organisational Development (L&OD) team and will require you to provide administrative support on co-ordinating training programmes and events including managing attendance and maintaining other records.
You will liaise with our associates, training programme or event delegates and members of the L&OD and wider WME team to schedule dates, organise training materials and respond to queries in a timely manner.
You will already have some experience in a similar role, ideally in an Organisational Development or Learning environment, and be used to delivering high-quality, great customer service while meeting tight deadlines.
Strong experience of Word and Excel is desirable, and you must be able to multitask and prioritise your workload effectively, be a good communicator and team player with the confidence to work with people at all levels.
If you enjoy working as part of a small team, relish a busy role and get a buzz from meeting deadlines then we really want to hear from you as you could be a perfect fit for #teamWME.
