Transport Team - Strategic Transport

Fleet Driver (Term Time Only)

NJC Scale 1:  £8,637 - £8,748 per annum

20 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity to join Telford & Wrekin Council’s newly formed Transport Team.  

Do you want to be playing a proactive role in ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable, sustainable, and innovative value for money transport services for the residents of Telford? If so, this is your opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering.

We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference to the lives of people in Telford and Wrekin through driving and being responsible for the operation of buses which provide specialist transport to passengers, including children with special educational needs, adults with disabilities, social care clients and members of the general public accessing bespoke transport services.

The post holder will support the Transport Team in the delivery of passenger transport services for the Council under the guidance of the Transport Supervisor and Transport Team Leader.

Successful candidates will support clients and their families and work as a team with the Passenger Assistant, Transport Team Leader, Transport Supervisor, Assistant Transport Officer and Depot & Fleet Supervisor to ensure that the safety, comfort and dignity of all passengers is respected at all times.

Candidates will require a full driving licence with minimum D1 category to drive a 16-seat mini bus vehicle
