The Role

Term Time Only (plus 5 INSET days)
Part time: 27 and ½ hours a week spread over 5 days
This position is a permanent contract which is subject to the satisfactory completion of a probationary period.

Telford Infant School is a three form entry Infant school based in the north of Leamington Spa with approximately 270 children on roll. At Telford Infants we put the children at the heart of absolutely everything we do and our strong team works closely together to ensure that every single one of our pupils is an inquisitive, resilient and successful learner eager for their next challenge. We are in the process of restructuring the roles within our school office and have an exciting new opportunity to recruit an enthusiastic and hard working individual to join our School Office Team.

Key Requirements

We are looking for someone who:
•Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Is exceptionally well organised, flexible and has the ability to stay calm under pressure – no two days will be the same!
•Understands the importance of confidentiality.
•Works effectively within a team but is also able to use their initiative when working alone.
•Has a high level of knowledge of and is a confident user of ICT
•Has recent, proven experience in an administrative role.

Experience of working within a school environment and an understanding of systems that support school administration are desirable but not essential.

Typical tasks will include:
•Dealing with queries and providing advice and guidance to staff, pupils, parents, governors and others.
•Receiving visitors and deliveries/goods, dealing with associated administration (security badges, signing delivery notes).
•Supporting the School Business Manager with HR related tasks.
•Organising school photographs.
•Maintaining the school website and ensuring compliance.
•Supporting SIMS end of year procedures to ensure they are carries out effectively and in a timely manner.
•Manage and complete of accident records for both school and the LA.
•Notify the LA of any incidents on school premises.
•Support with the administration of first aid; help with management of first aid resources etc
•Compiling reports, marketing materials etc.
