The purpose of the Trade Waste Business Development Officer role is to generate new commercial waste business, to lead in the on-boarding of new customers and to manage key account customers (this will include site visits and service reviews).

Proactive, entrepreneurial sales approach, along with the management of direct customer enquiries, undertaking site visits to liaise with customers and to monitor site conditions, to ensure collections can be undertaken safely.

Administrative duties include: Management of the customer database, calculation of excess weight charges, management of waste ‘duty of care’ requirements, liaison with the Finance team to manage credits and raise supplementary invoices.

Working with the operations team and Technical Supervisors to resolve service failures.

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Previous sales and administration experience.
  • Experience of customer care management.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office and database applications.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Capability to work under own direction.
  • Experience of the commercial waste industry would be beneficial, but not essential.
