ICT Project Manager - Ref: RT14721

Salary G10 £37,890 - £42,821 per annum (plus excellent employee benefits)
This position is offered as a 12-month secondment opportunity for internal applicants or a 12-month fixed-term contract for external applicants.

Walsall Council is transforming how it works. Developing technologies, customer expectations and external budget pressures mean we need to modernise and rethink how we deliver our services.

The Role

We are recruiting an ICT Project Manager to lead on the implementation of projects within ICT and across the wider business.

The successful candidate will need a strong background in projects, managing them from conception to implementation. You will be working with a variety of stakeholders, so strong communication and providing assurance is essential to this role.

Working as an ICT Project Manager you will implement technological solutions in a cost-effective way, within both the agreed timeframes and scope.

You will ensure that your deliverables align with the project goal and wider corporate and transformation initiatives.

The Council

Walsall Council is committed to attracting, developing, and retaining talent and can offer you an opportunity to make a difference and better the lives of the people of this exciting borough. We actively promote learning and development opportunities to all our employees to help them progress and gain new skills. We also believe that work is defined by what we do and not where we do it, so we offer a flexible and supportive working environment, including generous annual leave (starting at 28 days for this role) and a flexi scheme.

If you’re ready for your next challenge, we’re ready to hear from you!
