Dudley is the historic capital of the Black Country, a region located in the heart of the West Midlands, in the centre of the UK. It is close to the M5 and M6, just eight miles from Birmingham City Centre and within easy reach of Birmingham International Airport.

Dudley and the Black Country have a long history of providing world-class manufacturing and engineering and continue to provide the perfect economic conditions for advanced manufacturing. Dudley is seeing significant investment in physical regeneration activities to support business growth across the borough, including the DY5 Enterprise Zone and the much anticipated Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro Extension which will provide a catalyst for further investment. Recent funding awards including the Dudley Towns Fund and Brierley Hill Future High Street Fund will support the continued investment opportunities in Dudley.

Dudley Business First, the Council's inward investment and business support team, will play a crucial role in ensuring that local businesses benefit from the planned investment, and this role will oversee the management of the Dudley Business First Team, working with colleagues and key stakeholders from across the Council and beyond to maximise these opportunities.

This is an exciting time to be joining Dudley Council.

Hours:  37 per week
