About Us and The Role
The national holiday activities and food scheme (HAF) was extended to all local authorities across the UK in 2021. Following a successful roll out the DfE have extended the programme until March 2025. Family Information Service are delighted to be leading on the HAF programme in Warwickshire and are developing a small team to support this work. We are now looking for a competent, flexible and enthusiastic individual to lead a small team to deliver this programme.
The HAF programme provides free school holiday club places with enriching activities and healthy meals for children who receive benefits-related free school meals. The successful candidate will understand the importance of developing productive relationships with providers to create quality and diverse provision. They will be able to demonstrate creativity in their approach to meeting the needs of Warwickshire’s most vulnerable children and young people.
We are looking for a dedicated, organised and committed individual, with project management experience, to join the Children and Families team to lead on the HAF programme.
They will work across the whole a range of children's services including but not limited to early help, SEND and children’s social care. The key aspects of the role will include:
Coordinate Warwickshire’s HAF Programme in partnership with internal departments and external bodies locally, regionally and nationally.
Develop and expand the HAF Programme offer across the region
Represent the Authority on relevant internal and external groups and boards relating to the HAF programme.
Ensure the views of users (including young people and their families) are taken into account to support the activities.
Work on own initiative and have experience and knowledge of programme management.
