Merridale Primary School is a one-form entry school near to the centre of Wolverhampton.

Our school is a happy and thriving place which serves a diverse community. We are seeking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support high quality teaching and learning across the school. You will be required to work with class teachers to support individual children and groups in class and also take the lead in managing small groups of pupils for specific interventions as required.

You will also support children with Special Needs on a 1:1 or small group basis. The successful candidate will be able to help children with additionally needs develop their social and communication skills, interact with others, and access the curriculum.
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:

Has experience of working with children across the EYFS and Primary age range, encouraging and supporting them to achieve their full potential.

Has experience of working with children with SEND, including those with ASD.

Has a good standard of Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills.

Can support children to meet their individual learning goals through contributing to their Individual Education Plans and Educational Health Care Plans.


Has experience of working with children presenting challenging behaviors.

Is resilient and passionate about the social, emotional and mental well-being of young people Is dedicated, creative, enthusiastic and highly motivated.

Can work effectively as part of a team and is committed to raising standards for all children Provides a positive, safe, supportive learning environment
