We are looking for an experienced Benefits Assessor with a passion for delivering high quality customer service and with a detailed knowledge of Benefit legislation to join our Benefits team.

Responsible for processing claims for Council Tax Reduction and Housing Benefit, you will experience a great sense of satisfaction as you help people to get the right benefits and support in what can be a difficult stage in their life. 

As well as previous experience working within a Benefits role, you will need:

  • GCSE's Maths and English grades A*-C or 4-9 (or equivalent Level 2 qualifications) or the ability to demonstrate an equivalent level of numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to produce accurate work with a high level of attention to detail

Working closely with other teams within Income and Awards, you will be able to develop your knowledge and expertise in a broad range of processes.

The teams official base in in our central Solihull offices, however we are currently working on a hybrid basis, which may include a combination of office and home based working. The specifics of this can be discussed with the successful candidate and as such, we can be really flexible regarding geographical location.
