This is an opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our small proactive team developing the people side of our transformational change and supporting the organisation through recovery from Covid-19. You would be involved in the full remit of HR activities including absence management, policy development, case work, trade union consultation, pay and benefits and workforce planning. We are looking for a team player with good communication and mediation skills to develop effective working relationships with a variety of people. An ability to challenge and persuade others will be needed. You will need to be organised, resilient, a self-starter able to work on your own initiative and plan your workload. You should have experience of providing HR advice to managers and staff. We are also looking for someone with good analytical skills and spreadsheet & data reporting skills.

The role will support our Works Services, Regulation and Safety, and Legal & Governance Service. There will be a requirement to start 7.30am whilst supporting the Works Services Unit, days can vary but no more than 2 per week. The role will be hybrid working with a mix of working in the office and working from home.
