An opportunity has arisen for a confident, talented and enthusiastic cello teacher to join our Peripatetic team in a school where music is valued and encouraged throughout the year groups. Excellent communication skills are required as well as flexibility and a sense of humour. Currently the job includes 2.5 hours of one-to-one teaching, the day can be negotiated, with a half an hour cello ensemble rehearsal during our pupils’ break time. The successful candidate will teach well planned lessons, be committed to seeing their pupils succeed and be available to ‘go the extra mile’ in terms of accompanying at school concerts and being flexible with their time. The successful candidate will be expected to plan, direct weekly rehearsal and conduct the school cello ensemble.
Pupils receive 30 minute, one-to-one lessons each week and are entitled to 30 lessons per academic year. Our peripatetic staff are self-employed and invoice the school for the teaching they do each half term.
