At James Brindley Academy we provide education for children and young people whilst they are in hospital or are unable to attend their mainstream school due to medical conditions or special educational needs. We teach across 11 sites including teaching centres and hospitals in Birmingham. Dovedale is an 81-placement provision for pupils from upper KS2 to KS3 and KS4 with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Conditions. Many of our pupils have co-existing conditions such as ADHD, Tourette’s Syndrome, attachment disorders and other social, emotional and mental health needs. Our Northfield Centre (KS3) is a 54-placement provision for pupils in years 7-9 with a diagnosis of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) conditions.

Two Breakfast Club support staff are required to join James Brindley Academy, one each at the above locations. The purpose of the role is to support Breakfast club including making and serving food to the Young People, ensuring their wellbeing and health and safety. It is essential that you have experience in working with secondary age pupils along with a good standard of written and spoken English, as well as a food hygiene certificate.
