Salary: £18,562 - £18,933 pro rata + £250 one-off welcome payment for new starters if they join the team between December and February Welcome payments are subject to eligibility criteria.

(£9.62 per hour)

Additional pay enhancements for working 22:00 to 06:00, Sundays and Bank Holidays.


About Us

Howbury House provides long term residential accommodation and support for 32 individuals. We are registered with CQC to provide personal care to people, some of whom maybe living with dementia.

We are increasing our staff team and we are looking for enthusiastic, caring people to join our team. We want people who can support individuals with all activities of daily living including personal care and medication. You will be provided with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and weekly Covid 19 testing.

The successful applicant must have good communication skills, can follow care plans, maintaining detailed and accurate records of the care you provide, and can work as part of a team but also be able to work on your own initiative.

Care Assistants – Hours: Ranging from 20-36 hours per week. The shift pattern consists of 7.30-9pm, 07.30-15:30, 15:30-22:00 and some shorter shifts of 08:00-13:00, 17:00-21:00 these are mainly for the lesser hour posts.

Night Care Assistant – Hours: 23.33 per week, shifts 21:45-07:45

All vacancies include alternate weekends and bank holiday working.

Anyone working in a CQC-registered care home in England for residents requiring nursing or personal care must have 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine unless they have a medical exemption.
