Solihull Specialist Inclusion Support Service (SISS) is a well-established, high quality and valued Service working closely with Solihull's maintained schools, academies and settings to support children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced inclusion support practitioner to join our highly respected Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Team. 

In this role you will be allocated a number of pupils across all phases, some of whom will have an Education and Health Care Plan, you will support the school to implement strategies and approaches for the children on your caseload to support their inclusion within mainstream schools.  This will involve modeling appropriate techniques to school staff, advising on strategy and supporting the school to implement guidance given by an Advisory Teacher of SEMH / Educational Psychologist.

You will be an outstanding practitioner with a Level 3 qualification in child care/child development.  You will have substantial experience at meeting the needs of children and young people with SEMH and possess extensive knowledge and understanding of the implications of SEMH for an individual.  You will have effective and confident communication skills, able to work collaboratively and develop successful relationships with schools, pupils, families and other professionals

You will be expected to travel around the Borough of Solihull supporting the children on your caseload.
