The St John Paul II Multi Academy is a highly successful Catholic Multi Academy encompassing 7 Primary Schools and 2 Secondary Schools. Our schools are based in Sutton Coldfield, Erdington and Aston.

The ethos of St John Paul II Multi Academy is Catholic and was founded by the Catholic Church to provide education for children of Catholic families. As a Catholic multi academy, we aim to provide a Catholic education for all our pupils. As a Catholic multi academy, Catholic doctrine and practice permeate every aspect of every one of our school’s activities. It is essential that the Catholic character of the school’s education be fully supported by all staff within the multi academy.

We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our well resourced Human Resources team. The role is based within the Central Team located at Sacred Heart Catholic School. Earlsbury Gardens, Birmingham B20

3AE. A significant part of the role will be travelling between academy schools therefore applicants must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

You will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and the HR Team to support the day to day function of the HR Department across the full spectrum of Human Resources. You will be involved in a wide variety of HR related enquiries

including:

● administering all recruitment campaigns across the MAC

● managing new employees on-boarding

● provide advice and guidance to managers, staff, colleagues and stakeholders

● assist with absence management

● to maintain and administer the HR and payroll system in a timely manner in accordance with the payroll schedule

● to administer all pension schemes operated by the MAC

● to liaise with Chief Operating Officer regarding the maintain of HR files

● to liaise with the Chief Operating Officer regarding the SCR, workforce census and all HR related statutory returns.

● to answer all payroll queries across the schools within the MAC

● to produce the P11D’s across the MAC annually Administrative duties:

● assist the Chief Operating Officer in the administration of the admission process across all schools within the MAC

● provide administrative support to all schools within the MAC and cover for individual schools as directed by the Chief Operating Officer.

● to support the Chief Operating Officer in the marketing and PR of the MAC

● operate relevant equipment/ICT packages (e.g. MS Office, Internet, Email, SIMS, HR Systems)

● ensure the MAC policies and procedures are being adhered to, in particular as it applies to the HR and administration area

● any other task as commensurate with the grade.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
