We are seeking a keen and enthusiastic person to join a small team of staff delivering an efficient and effective customer focussed Facilities Attendant service at the Town Hall complex

You will be generally responsible for an evening shift Mon - Fri 5.30pm to 8:30pm and the role is to assist the Town Hall Superintendents by undertaking a range of duties including the security of the building, cleaning contracts and contractors attendance and records, attendance at Council meetings and civic functions and preparing meeting rooms.

This is a front-line position requiring knowledge of customer care together with good interpersonal skills. You will be well organised and capable of both working in a team but generally on your own initiative due to the evening work.  You will act as a dedicated escort, first aider and fire marshal and assist with emergency evacuations (training will be provided) and deputise for senior superintendents when required. You will also be capable of undertaking physical work.

Previous experience in caretaking or similar position would be advantageous and basic computer skills are also essential. You will be expected to cover for leave and sickness of colleagues.
