Job Details

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Taxi Licensing Team as a Licensing Officer. We are looking for a customer focused individual with excellent communication skills and a desire to make a difference.

You will assist in the processing of applications for driver, vehicle and operator licences in line with the Council’s Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Licensing Policy, give advice and guidance in licensing matters both on the phone and in person and give evidence in court in person as and when required.

As we operate an appointments system, officers would be required to be available during office opening hours which are 8.00 till 12.00 and 13.00 to 16.00 Monday to Thursday and until 15.30 on Fridays.

Applicants must hold, or be prepared to undertake, BTEC qualifications offered by NALEO or licensing qualifications offered by the Institute of Licensing. Alternatively you must have 3 GCSE’s Grade C or above, including English and Maths or equivalents.

Hours

18.5 hours per week
