Learning Support Assistant
Temporary post for two terms
27.5 hours per week, term time only
Salary Grade: Grade 2 salary point 2 (pro-rata) £18,198 - £18,562

SS Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant to work Monday to Friday (27.5 hours per week), 8;45am – 3:15 pm starting in the Spring term 2022. This is a temporary contract until the end of July 2022.
The successful candidate will:
• Support individual pupils on a one-to-one basis or in a small group to develop their social skills allowing them to access the curriculum within a mainstream class.
• Have a positive attitude and be flexible to the demands of the job.
• Demonstrate the ability to use initiative.
• Be able to work as part of a team and be expected to contribute to its development.

We are a small Catholic primary school with mixed age year groups. Our staff and children are welcoming, motivated and hardworking. We offer a supportive working environment.

The successful applicant will be required to work under the direct instruction of class teachers and the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator to support children’s learning on a 1:1 basis and within small groups. The post will be across KS1 and 2.
