Grade 3 TEACHING ASSISTANT

15 hours per week  (8.45am – 11.45am Monday – Friday)

Grade 3 - £18,652 – £18,933 (pro rota)

Temporary until 17th July 2022 in the first instance with a view to continuing into Reception if the child remains with us.

Required:  immediately

 

This post is to assume key roles in our Early Years provision within our Nursery provision.

This position will be to support a 1 – 2 – 1 with listening and attention difficulties along with being non-verbal.  The successful candidate will be trained in the appropriate ‘specialist interventions’ and work closely with external agencies to ensure the correct provision is provided to this child. 

Under the supervision of the Nursery Class Teacher, the successful applicant will be expected to be involved with planning, implementation and assessment of the child within their care and be a critical link between our childcare and school provision. They will also be expected to work closely within the small team of playworkers and work with the school management on improvement and driving innovation. Values are central at all times and all staff are expected to have dedication to not only the childcare provision, but our wider community.

It is essential that candidates have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in childcare.

*Have knowledge of speech and language interventions (not essential as training will be given)
