TA3 Learning Support Manager:

  • Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils
  • Promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
  • Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement
  • To promote, develop and maintain effective and supportive mentoring relationships with students with school teaching and learning professionals and external agencies.
  • Focus is on supporting learning, website signposting for families, an aspect of intervention and act as key lead for named families.
  • To advance pupils’ learning in a range of classroom settings, including working with individuals, small groups and whole classes where the assigned teacher is not present. To support the work of a qualified teacher and, under an agreed system of supervision, have responsibility for agreed learning activities. This involves undertaking specified work (see below), involving planning, preparing and delivering learning activities to individual pupils/groups or, short term, for whole classes and monitoring, assessing, recording and reporting on pupil development, progress and attainment.

The HLTA High Level Teaching Assistant will:

  • Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils

Key Requirements

TA3 Learning Support Manager: 

  • Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • HLTA or teaching qualification
  • GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English and maths
  • Minimum of two years’ experience of delivering intervention to children in paid capacity

HLTA High Level Teaching Assistant:

  • Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • HLTA or teaching qualification
  • GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English and maths
  • Minimum of two years’ experience of delivering intervention to children in paid capacity
