Teaching Assistant Grade 1 (Temporary)

Salary: Grade 1 Teaching Assistant (£12737 - £13462 per annum (includes SEN allowance)

28.75 hours per week

39 weeks per year

Required from 28^th February 2022

Ideally we are seeking to employ an experienced teaching assistant who has previously worked with SEND pupils.  An understanding of the curriculum across the age ranges in a primary school would be an advantage.

You will be responsible for supporting learning and progress, following guidance from staff and external agencies. You will deliver focused provision to specifically meet the needs of the child and will work alongside existing staff.

This role is for the specific needs of a pupil and is subject to periodic review. When the pupil is absent from school you may be required to undertake suitable alternative work for a limited period of time. The contract will however cease or the hours will be reduced upon either:-

1. The pupil no longer attends the school, or
2. If the allocation of hours is withdrawn following a review of the need for this support.
