Walsall Children: Safe, Happy, Learning Well...

Walsall Children's Services invite you to join us in our exciting transformation journey. If you are committed to working with disabled children and young people and their families in a relational way, and like us want to re-connect with the community in which our families live then we would like to hear from you!

Walsall have been undergoing a transformation both in the way we deliver services and the structures of some of our teams, to ensure that children receive the Right Help at the Right Time. Our use of restorative practices are deepening and bringing about a transformation in our approach to improving outcomes for the most vulnerable children and young people in our local population.

This is an exciting time for Walsall Disabled Children and Young People's Team as we move forward on our Transformation Journey and into All Age Disability Model of working. We are looking to recruit social workers who are passionate about doing the right thing for disabled children and young people and their families and who are committed to working in a relational way with families.

As one of our social workers, we will support you to develop your skills and knowledge when working with families using a restorative approach. You will be working with disabled children and young people and their families in order to assess and meet their needs and when required, look to reducing harm and maintain children with their families wherever possible.

Our Social Work Academy embodies our commitment to become a Reflective Learning Organisation. We will support your personal and professional development to ensure that you can perform to your maximum potential.
