The Governors of The King’s CofE Academy are looking to appoint experienced and passionate HLTAs to join the Inclusion Team on a permanent contract. If you are a child-centred, hard-working professional, committed to working as part of a team, we would welcome your application.
The post will involve:
- Planning and leading intervention and catch up tutoring.
- Supporting students’ learning, including working with individual students who have Educational Health Care plans
- Developing and implementing Individual Education Plans and reviewing progress.
- Cover for short notice teacher absence
We are looking for someone with:
- The HLTA status or equivalent and excellent numeracy/literacy skills
- Experience of teaching whole classes
- A good understanding of SEND within a secondary school setting
- A passion for securing the best outcomes for children
- A positive outlook with a sense of humour and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to establish and sustain constructive relationships with children and adults
- The ability to use their initiative and be flexible
- A desire to play a full part in the life of the school and the local community
