If you are passionate, highly motivated and have experience in working with vulnerable children and young people, this is an opportunity that cannot be missed.

Worcestershire Children First are looking for Residential Support workers to join an exciting and dynamic team that’s main aim is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the four children and young people who live within the care home.

The home that you will be working at is a 52-week placement that provides comprehensive residential care to children and young people with Emotional Behavioural Disorder within Worcestershire Children First. The team ensures the physical, social and emotional well-being of the children/young people and assist in their positive holistic development and resilience.

You will be responsible for actively safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children/young people in the home. You will also be required to promote structure, boundaries and routines within the home and support the young people with their day-to-day activities as well as promoting their independent skills.

You will be required to work on a shift basis to accommodate the needs of the young people and the Home. An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care for Children and Young people is desirable but not essential.

The management team within the home provide each worker with monthly supervisions, extra support if required and also aid the development and progress of each individual. This is to ensure the home is a safe and happy place to work while remaining a forward thinking and progressive home.
