Wollescote is a larger than average primary school which serves a diverse community. Our work is characterised by our fundamental commitment to inclusion. Of our 421 pupils currently on roll, a large proportion of pupils (72%) come from Pakistani backgrounds. Approximately 20% of our pupils qualify for Pupil Premium.

The school is supported by a very able governing body, with Ofsted, school improvement, finance and management backgrounds and is a consistently good school. The Governors and Head Teacher of Wollescote Primary School wish to appoint a Level 3 qualified administrator to work in our very busy school office, preferably with experience of working in a busy school. This appointment is term time only.

We are looking for an administrator to join our very happy school office team.  The successful applicant will ideally:

  • Have experience of processing financial transactions including invoicing and maintaining financial accounts
  • Be able to track and monitor attendance and support the attendance officer in supervising our rigorous approach to following up unexplained absences (this may include home visits)
  • Be committed to our school values of Be Proud, Be Positive and Be Polite and be willing to show a dedicated approach to our school community
  • Be skilled in de-escalation and building positive relationships within our school community
  • Thrive working in a very busy school office
  • Pay attention to detail and work with accuracy
  • Be able to manage their time efficiently, prioritise and multi task
  • Enjoy working as part of a large staff team
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Have a calm professional manner, whilst working under pressure
  • Enjoy developing professional relationships with parents, staff, professionals and pupils

You will be contracted to work 37 hours per week, term time only, between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm.
