Residential Support Worker
Permanent, full time
Post: 37 hours per week
Salary up to £25,481 with additional payments available through sleeping in and weekend working, plus £1000 golden hello (if appointment is made before 31.03.22)
Location of Post: Vale Lodge Children’s Home, Evesham
Are you a highly motivated social care professional with experience in residential setting for children?
Vale Lodge is looking for residential support workers to join an established team.
Vale Lodge is a 52-week placement that offers a comprehensive residential service to children and young people with learning difficulties and disabilities within Worcestershire Children First. The team ensures the physical, social and emotional well-being of the children/young people and assist in their positive holistic development and resilience.
You will be responsible for actively safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children/young people in the home. You will also be required to promote structure, boundaries and routines within the home and support the young people with their day to day activities.
As a team member you will be involved in supporting the young people to develop their social and independence skills and undertake key working responsibilities.
You will be required to work on rota shift basis to accommodate the needs of the young people and the Home. An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care for Children and Young people is essential in this instance.
