Teaching Assistant Level 2 - St Luke’s Catholic Primary School

32.5 hours per week -  08:30am – 03:30pm to include lunchtime cover

Term time only

NJC Scale 2 £9.62 - £9.81 per hour



Our Governors are seeking to appoint a L2 Teaching Assistant in school for 32.50 hours per week, term time only. 

Main responsibilities will include providing support with teaching and learning for a variety of pupils, from small group interventions such as Speech and Language to working with individual children.   

Ideal qualities for this post include:

  • Having a strong commitment to improving the learning outcomes for all our pupils.
  • The ability to show understanding, patience and empathy towards our pupils to help them engage with their learning.
  • A good knowledge of general literacy and numeracy.
  • An understanding of the importance of our Child Protection and Safeguarding policies.
  • Previous experience of working in EYFS/KS1 would be an advantage but not essential.

Working as a member of the support staff team, the post holder will also be responsible for assisting with the preparation of classroom resources, undertaking first aid duties (training will be provided), and attending continued professional development opportunities.
