The Board of Governors of St Andrew’s Catholic Primary School, with support of Our Lady and All Saints Catholic Multi Academy Company (“the MAC”), are now seeking to appoint to the role an Apprentice Administration Assistant to join our proud and successful School from September 2021.

We are looking to appoint an Apprentice Administration Assistant to work alongside our School Office Administrator and our School Business in the main school office to provide a welcoming reception and a smooth-running office. You will need to have a polite and professional manner as first point of contact for pupils, parents/carers visitors, staff and other outside agencies. 

This will be a busy and varied role and the successful applicant will have a positive and proactive approach. You will need to have good communication skills along with excellent literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE or equivalent, Grade C or above). 

The successful applicant would be involved in a range of administrative duties and the ability to use a variety of office-based packages is essential. Experience of administration in a school setting would be an advantage.

What you will need to succeed:
•    GCSEs or equivalent Grade A – C or equivalent in Maths and English
•    Ability to use IT proficiently as part of a staff team

General duties included…………..

•    General reception duties e.g. answering phone, welcoming visitors, resolve queries
•    Providing administrative support to the school office and the teaching staff
•    Use of the school management system to input data (SIMS)
•    To manage the school cashless payment system (Parentpay)
•    Administration of the Childcare invoice system (QuickBooks)
•    Managing the office emails, photocopying, filing, scanning
•     Arrange school visits and transport  
•    Any other general office duties as required

The location of the post is based at St Andrew’s Catholic Primary School, Windrush Close, Solihull, B92 8QL.
