Finance Assistant – The Talentum Learning Trust Central Team (term time permanent contract, grade 3 – salary £18,562 gross per annum. (Term time is £8,116 per annum pro-rata)

Position: Finance Assistant

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Permanent, term Time, (45.08 weeks)

Hours: 1 post 18.5 hours per week – working pattern to be agreed

Pay: Grade 3 Pay Point 3 - salary: £18,562 per annum, £9.62 per hour

Location: The Central Team is based at Westwood College; however, you may on occasions be required to cover duties at other schools across the Trust

The Talentum Learning Trust consists of 9 schools based in Leek and the beautiful surroundings of the Staffordshire Moorlands. Westwood College is a well-established and successful 13-19 secondary school and shares a joint sixth form with Leek High School.

Are you reliable, enthusiastic and trustworthy? Can you work on your own initiative whilst being a supportive team player? We are seeking to appoint a part time Finance Assistant to joint the Talentum Learning Trust Central Team.

This is a busy and varied role within the Trust Central Team providing support to the Trust academies and would suit someone studying for their AAT or other similar qualification. Duties will include processing orders, invoices, posting income received onto the finance system, posting entries from Parent Pay, dealing with queries, reconciling supplier statements, preparing payments and preparation for audits. Administration duties will include supporting the team with other general office tasks including photocopying, emailing and data entry. Excellent communication skills, along with good IT experience and understanding of the basic financial tasks are essential, prior experience of working within a school environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given to the right applicant.
