Position: Administrative Officer – Personnel

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Permanent, term Time, (45.08 weeks)

Hours: 1 post 22.5 hours per week worked over 3 days

Pay: Grade 4 Pay Point 5 - salary: £19,312 per annum, £10.01 per hour

Location: Westwood College; however, you may on occasions be required to cover duties at other schools across the Trust

The Talentum Learning Trust consists of 9 schools based in Leek and the beautiful surroundings of the Staffordshire Moorlands. Westwood College is a well-established and successful 13-19 secondary school and shares a joint sixth form with Leek High School.

Are you reliable, enthusiastic and trustworthy? Can you work on your own initiative whilst being a supportive team player? We are seeking to appoint a part time Administrative Officer – personnel to join our team at Westwood College.

This is a busy and varied role within the Admin team providing personnel and Governance support to the school. Duties will include maintaining confidential HR records and databases, supporting the safer recruitment process, monitoring staff absences, processing staff claims, liaising with payroll and H.R. Clerking the meetings for the Local Governing Body and supporting the Office Manager with administrative and organisational support alongside other general tasks including emailing and data entry. Excellent communication skills, the ability to take and produce accurate minutes for Governing Body meetings along with good IT experience and understanding of the personnel function are essential, prior experience of working within a school environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given to the right applicant.
