 - £19,312 - £19,698 FTE – Actual Salary £16696 -£17,415

Term Time Only (38 weeks + 6 days)

Permanent position

The Governors of The King’s CofE Academy are looking to appoint an Attendance Officer to join the Inclusion team to provide administrative support to the school in relation to the attendance of students.

As a member of the team you will provide support to pupils, parents and staff.

Duties will include:

  • Day to day management of the attendance registers
  • Contacting parents to ascertain reasons for student absence
  • Liaising with the Educational Welfare Officer
  • Producing attendance reports
  • Organising Attendance clinics

You should be able to demonstrate excellent record keeping and  IT skills, be well organised, have a professional approach to work, be able to prioritise workloads to meet critical deadlines and demonstrate a methodical attention to detail. Experience of using SIMS would be an advantage.

Excellent communication skills both oral and written are also an essential part of the role to be able to deal with staff, students, parents and external agencies. An ability to multitask is essential!
